Reported fires

Find out what has been reported.

Browse reports from fire agencies and see details such as a fire’s reported size and how much of its boundary is contained. If that information is missing, the app marks it as unknown.

Available fire boundaries show the area that has been mapped. They do not show live fire spread or evacuation zones.

A view from space

See heat spotted by satellites.

Satellites can detect heat that may be related to fires. These observations are shown separately from confirmed fire reports. Check the source and time of each observation; a heat detection alone does not confirm a wildfire.

With Plus, either AI mode can look up wildfire reports for you. No reports or satellite detections does not mean an area is safe. Follow local evacuation orders and other safety instructions.

Keep exploring.
